Celebrating 20yrs at our sister Nursery NFDN providing 100's of families childcare
We provide quality child care services for your little ones in a safe and nurturing environment with an enrichment of opportunities for your child to happily learn, explore and build their imagination through experiences.
Come and see why parents trust us with their children.
Our newly refurbished baby room really has that wow factor. We have worked to create a nurturing and stimulating environment, with snuggly areas for times when we want to just sit and read a book or chill out, an active area with steps and slide for some physical fun along with carefully selected resources to compliment children's natural instinct to learn. Our sensory corner works to enhance the babies senses and is very popular with the babies. Each day we visit the garden to get some fresh air and on occasions we go for walks to see our local environment. We have weekly Sing and Sign sessions and some fun sessions with Mini Wave too.
The maximum capacity is for 12 children each day.
Our Toddler Room is where our babies transition into toddlers, where the opportunity for awe and wonder is explored further in a larger but still nurturing play space. In this room we have created some smaller areas, where children move between with support from staff. This room has lots of daily fun, creative and messy play opportunities giving children the skills for future learning. Throughout the Nursery, we are supporting children's individual learning by extending their knowledge, giving them an introduction into new opportunities and experiences to learn. Toddlers also have weekly sessions with our local partners Loopy Lous dance and Mini Wave.
From here, the September before they start Reception the following year, they move into the Pre-School room and are ready to embark on our Ready for Reception Transition year of activities.
The maximum capacity is for 16 children each day.
This is where the hard work starts (but....shhhhhh.....we haven't told the children - they still play all day every day). Our learning is steered into supporting the children's transitions into school in September. We work with our Pre-Schoolers developing and securing their confidence in their own abilities, self-care and independence, readiness for school, ability to share, celebrate successes of others, team work (sounds great yes?..... we also have a mini workshop for parents too).
Pre School also has their own 'free-flow' area open all day for indoor/outdoor learning.
Pre School also has weekly sessions with our local partners; PhonicsStars, Tiny Tekkers, Loopy Lous - it's a fun packed week - who wouldn't want to join in?
The maximum capacity is for 16 children each day.
To us, our outdoor learning is as crucial as our indoor learning. We value the way children learn differently in different environments, we use the garden area to its maximum, creating valuable learning opportunities for all of the children in the Nursery daily. In addition to garden time, our Pre Schoolers also have their own mini 'free-flow' area which is adjacent to their room and open all day for indoor/outdoor learning and play opportunities. We often take the children on local walks around our Nursery.
Food is such an important part of our day. We see our food times as a social occasion for the children to sit together in small groups and socialise with one another in a calm environment. Children learn how to lay the table, help to serve themselves as well as using appropriate cutlery independently.
We offer Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner plus snacks. Our menus are carefully designed to offer a broad range of foods for the children using the recommendations from Eat Better, Start Better programme.
We cater for a variety of dietary requirements across the Nursery and children who have specific dietary requirements or allergies have their individual menu, shared and agreed with the parents. We list all of the allergens on our menus to ensure our staff and parents are aware of the ingredients of our menu daily, to ensure this is another layer of protection for those children with dietary requirements.
We have regular orders from supermarkets each week to ensure we are serving fresh foods. Our chef cooks a home cooked meal in our kitchen and prepares tea for the children.
